About a year after the Verein's Quilt Guild was formed, Pocketful of Poseys quilting fabric shop opened (June 19, 1999). The members of the guild were wanting "their own quilt shop" in Fredericksburg and I just happen to be at the right place at the right time.

We recently celebrated 9 years in business and we have enjoyed every minute along the way. We have grown in size and in knowledge. I am amazed when I think back on the beginning of how little I really knew about the world of making quilts and how much more there is to learn.


We have a terrific selection of beautiful quilting fabrics - something for everyone's taste. We go from brights and novelties to westerns, batiks and thimbleberries. We also carry large floral prints and those new funky prints that look like designs from the 60's and 70's. We carry as much wide backing fabric as we can get hold of.

We stock some of the latest books, patterns and notions.

The shop is 4,000 square feet so there is plenty of space for you to be able to plan your quilt.
